Supporting mothers and newborns through expert midwifery care.
The Midwifery program prepares students to provide safe, skilled, and respectful care to women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postnatal period. Students develop clinical competency alongside a deep respect for maternal rights and dignity.
Leadership and excellence in preparing scientifically and practically qualified midwives, capable of providing integrated and safe healthcare for women, and contributing to improving maternal and child health at the local and regional levels.
The Midwifery Department sought to prepare qualified professionals with evidence-based clinical knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, while adhering to professional ethics, promoting scientific research, and serving the community through health education and prevention.
Midwifery is one of the core specializations offered by the college as an associate degree program, alongside other specializations such as nursing. These programs, including midwifery, pharmacy, graphic design, and others, have received ongoing accreditation, enhancing confidence in the quality of education and standards. There is a collaborative partnership between the college's training programs and Al-Makassed Charitable Hospital to provide training opportunities for nursing and midwifery students and improve the quality of graduates in the healthcare field.
