Our engineering team has developed innovative solar cell technology with 40% efficiency, marking a significant leap forward in renewable energy research. This breakthrough positions Princess Sarvath College as a leader in sustainable energy innovation.
Researchers at Princess Tharwat College have achieved a significant breakthrough in solar cell efficiency, developing a new photovoltaic material that achieves 40% energy conversion — nearly double the current commercial standard. The research, conducted in partnership with the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan, has attracted international attention and is expected to lead to a patent filing within the coming months.
The lead researcher described the development as “a genuine step change for renewable energy accessibility in the region,” and noted that the material uses locally available compounds, making it potentially cost-effective for wide deployment across the Middle East.
