About This Course

The Assistant Teacher program prepares students to become effective classroom support professionals. The curriculum covers child development, teaching strategies, and inclusive education, equipping graduates to work alongside qualified teachers in a variety of educational settings.

About the Department

The Supporting Teacher Department is a unique and pioneering department that Princess Tharwat College was the first to establish in order to meet a pressing need in the modern educational system. It represents the bridge between general education and special education. The establishment of this department came in response to global and local shifts towards "inclusive education," which stipulates the right of every student, regardless of their physical, mental, or academic abilities, to learn within a natural and stimulating school environment.

General Objectives
  • Preparing graduates capable of employing effective teaching strategies, curricula, and methods related to individuals with physical, health, and sensory disabilities, learning difficulties, and various autism spectrum disorders.
  • Preparing graduates capable of keeping pace with advancements in inclusive education and global changes concerning the school of the future, the "inclusive school." Preparing graduates with scientific, academic, and practical qualifications in support education.
